We have just received word Saeed Abedini and the other 3 Americans have been released. For more than three years, Pastor Saeed – a U.S. citizen – has endured imprisonment in Iran.
Yesterday we received word that Saeed Abedini was taken by Iranian Intelligence police to the Central Intelligence office. This morning we learned he was freed and moved to the Swiss Embassy along with Jason Rezaian: aged 39, Tehran correspondent for the Washington Post. Detained in Iran for more than a year before his sentencing last November. Amir Hekmati: aged 32, former Marine who spent more than four years in prison on spying charges following his arrest in August 2011 during a visit to see his grandmother and Nosratollah Khosravi-Roodsari: Little is known about the fourth US citizen. The US citizens are being flown to Switzerland and will be taken to a US base in Germany for medical treatment.
AU.S. government statement indicated that the U.S. and Iran will continue to cooperate in returning Bob Levinson. They have been working for 8 years on this! But now, at least there are some diplomatic ties between Iran and the U.S.; they were non-existent for 36 years prior to 2013! We hope and pray this new relationship will yield positive results for Robert and the Levinson family. Keep this family in your prayers.
In praise to the LORD, we thank HIM that this day has finally arrived. When the situation seemed to take a turn for the worse and through man’s eyes looked bleak, our LORD who is ever FAITHFUL has proven again, we must trust HIM in all things—in HIS timing.
Pastor Saeed’s wife Naghmeh said, “This has been an answer to prayer. This is a critical time for me and my family. We look forward to Saeed’s return and want to thank the millions of people who have stood with us in prayer during this most difficult time.”
Once again, PRAISE GOD! After 1267 days in an Iranian jail, PRAISING GOD, alone for his release! He has changed the hearts of men and answered our prayers!!! Let us glorify and honor no one else but HIM! May HE shake every prison in Iran and release all the faithful!
Please share and continue to pray for Pastor Saeed and his family.
1 Corinthians 12:26 (KJV)
And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.
